Take a tour of Thomaston's past Aug. 28

Thomaston — The Historic Thomaston Resource Group hosts a walking tour of West Main Street Wednesday, Aug 28, at 10 a.m. to promote some of Thomaston’s historic architecture.

Peggy McCrea will talk about life here in the 19th century, including who lived in the neighborhood, what they did, how the Thomaston Mall got its name, changes in the area and more

The guided tour will start at the corner of Main and Green streets, between the two churches, and will last an hour to an hour and a half. Bring hats and water if it is a warm day and wear comfortable walking shoes. The rain date is Thursday, Aug. 29.
