Szwajkos shows in DUMBO

New York — Work by Rockland photographer Sarah Szwajkos is part of the “It's a Thin Line Between Love and Hate: Love” opening Friday, Feb. 1 at United Photo Industries, 111 Front St., Suite 204, in Brooklyn’s Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass arts district.

The three images show are from Szwajkos’ new series, Ecstasy Cantata, which captures people in the act of singing. Photographers were invited to submit individual images exploring either (or both) elements of this exhibition's emotionally conflicted theme — love, hate and the rugged terrain between them. The artists’ reception will take place Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. “It's a Thin Line Between Love and Hate: Love” will run through Tuesday, Feb. 12.
