St. George — St. George-based Girl Scout Troop 1831 is headed to Orlando, Fla., in October 2020. All 10 active members and their leaders will attend the Girl Scout National Convention, joined by thousands of other Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from all over the world.

They will gain inspiration, tools to empower themselves and the know-how to lead change in their communities, connecting with some of the most influential women in the world.

The troop, who will be Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors and consists of girls from St. George, Rockland and Washington, plan several events to earn the $8,000 to pay for this trip. Bottle drives, car washes, bake sales, dinners, babysitting and a yard sale are among the many fundraisers planned over the next several months.
