University College at Rockland announces that registration for the Spring 2018 term is now open.  The spring schedule includes over 1000 courses from the 7 University of Maine System campuses and includes classes in art, business, sciences, education, English, justice studies, psychology and many more.

Obtaining a college degree opens the door to many career options and opportunities. According to the US Census, college graduates earn about twice as much as high school graduates. College graduates also have lower unemployment rates according to the US Department of Labor. There are many ways to finance a degree, including scholarships and federal and state grants.

It is not too late to begin in January!  And students do not need to be in a degree program in order to take classes.  All are invited to take a look at the variety of courses offered through the center by going to the learn.maine.edu/rockland website and clicking on “Search Courses”.

Deborah Meehan, the UC Rockland Director, noted that some courses do fill quickly so there are advantages to acting early.  Free academic advising appointments with Chip Curry, Student Services Coordinator, for new and returning students are available by calling 596-6906 or by going to the chipcurry.youcanbook.me scheduling link.
