South Thomaston's new administrator is a familiar face

South Thomaston — Terri Baines will be returning to town government in South Thomaston.
The South Thomaston Selectboard voted Jan. 19 to hire Baines as town administrator and appoint her as town clerk, treasurer, tax collector, freedom of information officer and general assistance administrator.
She will succeed Owen Casas, who announced last month he would be leaving the posts. Casas has served as town administrator since December 2018.
Baines worked for the town for many years, including its town administrator for three years, until she left in 2018 to be finance director for the neighboring town of St. George.
She will begin her new posts Feb. 8.
" I am sure that South Thomaston will benefit greatly from her most recent professional experiences," Board Chair Walter Reitz said.
"Please join the Selectboard in welcoming Terri back to the Town office. We thank Owen Casas once again for his accomplishments and contributions during his tenure as Town Administrator," Reitz said.
