Rockland — A boiler is suspected of causing considerable smoke to pour out of the Rockland Harbor Park building that houses multiple tenants.

The Rockland Fire Department responded at 9 a.m., Sept. 12, to multiple reports of black smoke coming from a corner of the roof of the large building off Water Street.

The department's ladder truck was used to get firefighters on the roof of the complex. Once inside, it was determined there was a problem with the boiler.

The 77,000-square-foot building houses SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc., which use to be named DST and earlier Boston Financial, and the Rockland Harbor YMCA.
