Sheriff's Office investigates church break-in

By Stephen Betts | May 13, 2020

Warren — The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating a break-in at the Second Congregational Church in Warren.

The burglary was discovered Tuesday, May 12, around 12:30 p.m. when one of the church leaders arrived at the building. The building was last checked on Monday.

The investigation revealed that a lock box, mounted on the outside of the building, was broken into with tools. A set of keys removed to unlock the building.

The incident is under investigation but preliminarily, it appeared nothing was missing and there was no other damage, according to Knox County Chief Deputy Patrick Polky.
