Select Board to appoint town manager search committee

Rockport — The Rockport Select Board will meet Thursday, Feb. 7, to discuss and appoint members of the new Town Manager Search Committee.

Town Manager Rick Bates announced Jan. 24 that he will retire at the end of his current contract in June.

Residents who have applied to serve on the committee are: Town Clerk Linda Greenlaw, David Barry, Julie Clement, Sally Cook, Stephen Corson, Jerod Cronkite, Clark Doran, Leni Gronros, Zachary Herrick, David Jackson, Kerry Leichtman, Allen Mitchell, Geoffrey Parker, Gretchen Richards, Jennifer Roper, Joe Sternowski, Marjorie Timmermann, Maynard Tolman and Ralph Wallace.

The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and will not be streamed. Selectmen will discuss the applications in a closed-door meeting after hearing from the applicants. Upon coming out of the executive session, they will appoint the search committee.
