Friendship — On Friday, Dec. 6, Friendship held its annual town Christmas party at the Hahn Community Center. There was hot chocolate, Christmas carols, a Turkey dinner and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus were in attendance.

The party is an annual event organized by Elizabeth Ann Bartlett, who described it as a “team effort” for the whole town. Preparation began at 9 a.m. for the community members, including the Methodist Women, who do the cooking and decorating.

Waldoboro and Rockland Hannaford donated food and paper goods for the party, and the Friendship Fire Department donated the Christmas Tree. Food is also donated by Friendship community members.

Santa and Mrs. Claus were also in attendance to hear about Christmas lists, with a professional photographer to capture the moment.
