Rockland — Rustica Cucina Italiana Restaurant is hosting a winter’s night of dinner, offering traditional and eclectic Italian foods.

On Thursday, Jan. 16 (snow date is Thursday, Jan. 30) from 5 to 9 p.m., Chef John Stowe will make many recipes from scratch to provide dinners for all who visit the restaurant.

On any given day, the kitchen staff will produce house made-sausage, delicate pastas, handmade breads, desserts and a myriad of stocks and sauces. The wine list features all Italian classics, as well as wines from around the globe. A selection of beers on tap, as well as a fully stocked bar, will also be available.

The restaurant is located on Main Street in downtown Rockland, and seats 80 people.

On this benefit night, reservations will be taken for parties of all sizes and the Camden Rockport Middle School’s Japan Exchange Program will receive a percentage of the proceeds from the evening. As well, anybody will have an opportunity to participate in a 50/50 cash raffle. Participants do not need to be present to win.

Along with the wait and kitchen staff, visitors will be greeted by 10 Japan Exchange Program travelers, as they will be assisting with hosting and bussing tables. Be sure to ask a traveler all about the upcoming April 2020 trip to Japan.

In April, 10 CRMS students, along with two chaperones, will travel to Japan. They will spend a few days in Tokyo and then travel by bullet train to Hirakawa, one of the towns in the Aomori Prefecture, where they will stay with local families.
