Romantic films at Rockland library

Rockland — Romance is the theme for this month’s handpicked Thursday night movies at Rockland Public Library, 106 High St. The films are selected and hosted by local film enthusiast Erica Pfander.

“The Last Time I Saw Paris,” a 1954 film starring Elizabeth Taylor, will be screened Thursday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. Tragedy strikes an American World War II veteran (Van Johnson) with literary ambitions who falls in love in Paris.

“An Affair to Remember” (1957) will be screened Thursday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. A couple — Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr — fall in love and agree to meet in six months at the Empire State Building … but will it happen?

Admission is free. Movies are screened in the downstairs Friends Community Room.
