Rockland Shakespeare Society starts season

Oct 04, 2017

Rockland — The Rockland Shakespeare Society will begin its 2017-2018 season Monday, Oct. 16, at 2 p.m. in the Friends Community Room of Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St.

The city group has met continuously since 1889 to read and discuss the Bard’s works. New members are always welcome and are given an opportunity to participate at whatever level of involvement is comfortable.

The RSS will read and discuss “King Lear” this fall; and will take up “All’s Well That Ends Well” beginning in January. Anyone who has ever wanted to “get more into Shakespeare,” this is a great way to do it.

Rockland Shakespeare Society meets every other Monday from October through early April. For more information, contact Marianne Boretz, president, at mboretz@gmail.com or 354-8338; or just come to the first meeting.

Courier Publications’ A&E Editor Dagney C. Ernest can be reached at (207) 594-4401, ext. 115; or dernest@courierpublicationsllc.com.
