Rockland — The Rockland Police Department has received multiple reports over the past few weeks of stolen kayaks. In total, three kayaks have been reported stolen from the boat racks provided for public use by the City of Rockland.

One kayak, described as having a yellow top and white bottom was stolen from the rack near Buoy Park.

Two other kayaks, both described as red nine-foot Dagger Zydeco 9.0 kayaks, were stolen from the rack located at Snow Marine Park off Mechanic Street.

All owners reported that the boats were locked with cable locks at the time of the thefts. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the stolen boats, contact Rockland Police Officer John Bagley at Jbagley@rocklandmaine.gov.
