$1,000 to Trekkers Program

Committee Reports:
Grand Raffle – Gary Monroe: spoke about grand raffle’s 1st prize- Home theater system with a value of $7,650 from Seacoast Security and 2 luxury recliners from Prince’s Furniture with a value of $1,500.00 for a total prize value of $9,150.

Anniversary – Keith Wass 12 years of service


  • Evening meeting (6pm) on July 28th will be a family cookout at the Samoset.
  • Thank you letter from Coastal Children’s Museum went around.
  • Samoset expressed its apology for the delay in getting meals served during last week’s evening meeting.

Speaker Jeanne Paquette, Commissioner of the Maine Department of Labor was introduced by Gordon Page. She has been commissioner since 2012, she lives in Yarmouth. There are many changes happening in the Dept. of Labor they are working very closely with Dept. of Health & Human Resources with achieving Gov. LePage’s plan is to get people back into the work force and be successful.
