Rockland dentist retires after 30 years

Nov 29, 2019
Dr. Chandni Mahajan will take over the business after Theriault's leave.

Rockland — After 30 years of practicing dentistry in Rockland, Dr. David Theriault, DMD retired Oct. 30.

Theriault has sold his dental practice to Dr. Chandni Mahajan, DDS. After graduating from dental school in 2014 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Mahajan moved to Houston, Texas, where she practiced dentistry in a community health center and a family dental practice for five years. Her search for a simpler lifestyle, love of nature, art and a yearning for community brought her to Maine.

Mahajan has recently been practicing in Lincolnville, filling in for Dr. Kristine Landry.

"I feel confident that Mahajan will provide the care and skills necessary for my patients to maintain their oral health." said Theriault. "It has been a privilege and an honor to have been your dentist for the past thirty years. I will miss you all as I move on to this next chapter of my life."
