Rockland — The two candidates for a vacant Rockland City Council seat will participate in a candidates' forum 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, at City Hall.

The public is invited to attend and pose questions to Stephen Carroll and Amelia Magjik.

The election is Tuesday, June 13. Absentee ballots will be available beginning May 15 at City Hall for people who want to vote early.

Both candidates will offer opening statements and then questions will be accepted from audience members. The forum will end with closing statements from the pair.

The forum will be broadcast on government access Channel 22 for people with cable TV.

Stephen Betts of The Courier-Gazette will moderate.

The person elected will fill the vacancy created when Larry Pritchett resigned Feb. 1.
