Rockland City Manager Tom Luttrell talks roads, transfer station in VillageSoup studio

Rockland — City Manager Tom Luttrell visited the VillageSoup studio Feb. 28, and explained the city's plans for repairing potholes and uneven areas on the city's streets and roads.

Residents have been complaining about the state of the roads in the Midcoast this winter.

Luttrell also talked about the plan to bring single-stream recycling to Rockland's transfer station, and plans to complete the covering of the quarry at the solid waste facility on Limerock Street.

Other issues, including the proposed marina expansion, whether City Hall might move downtown and the need for affordable housing, were also discussed.
