Falmouth, Mass. — Rochelle A. “Shelley” (Ugstad) Reardon, 44, passed away peacefully from complications from renal cell carcinoma at Brigham & Women’s Hospital Oct. 1, 2019, one day short of her 45th birthday, surrounded by loved ones. Her spirit will remain in the hearts of family, friends -- new and old, colleagues, patients she served, and the medical community who served her.

Shelley is survived by her husband, Dennis Readon; daughter Kayla and son Liam; all of East Falmouth, Mass., her parents, Janet Eckhart of Appleton, Bob and Su Usgstad of Remer, Minn.; her grandmother June Olsen of Connecticut; sisters Ryan Greeder and her family and Sage Ugstad, both of Minnesota; sisters-in-law who were just like sisters, Kristin Berhing of Wareham, Mass., and Kathryn Roth of East Falmouth, Mass., and their families; and inlaws Ed and Virginia Reardon of Washington, Maine; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shelley and her family appreciated the team at Dana Farber and Brigham & Women’s, particularly Dr. Choueiri, and Dr. Narang, for providing her with the most honest, upfront and compassionate medical care possible.

A celebration of Shelley’s life will be held at Saint Anthony’s Church, East Falmouth, Mass., 167 East Falmouth Hwy., Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association of Cape Cod or Haven for Healing, a nonprofit organization offering free holistic services to people in treatment for cancer. Haven for Healing P.O. Box 774, Falmouth, MA 02540.
