Ripple Initiative holds fundraiser with raffles, food, music June 9

An 8-by-12-foot shed is one of more than a dozen items to be raffled at The Ripple Initiative's Spring Fever fundraiser June 9.

Rockland — The Ripple Initiative, a nonprofit serving the poor, will hold its Spring Fever fundraiser June 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. outside The Ripple Shop, 26 Rankin St.

The event will feature a number of raffle items, including an 8-by-12-foot shed from Shed City, a patio set from EBS Camden, two yards of mulch from N.C. Hunt, an overnight meditation retreat at the Haven Center, an Adirondack settee from EBS Rockland and hand-painted by artist Sylvia Percy, and several other items.

Tickets, $20 apiece, are on sale at The Ripple Shop -- open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. -- and will be sold the day of the event right up to the 2 p.m. drawing. There is no limit on the number of chances you may buy. Tickets will also be available for purchase from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, May 19 and May 26, at Plants Unlimited and Green Thumb Nursery.

Live music will be provided by various local artists, free pizza will be provided by Uproot Pie Co., and complimentary beer, wine and water will also be available, as well as Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.
