Retiring staff recognized for service to RSU 40

Waldoboro — At its June 6 meeting, the Regional School Unit 40 Board of Directors acknowledged members of its staff who are retiring this year.

The six who are retiring are: Louise Allen, bus driver; Sally Brough, special education teacher, Warren Community School; Gail Lord, educational technician, Warren Community School; Frank McCabe, psychological examiner, district-wide; JoAnne Shuman, guidance counselor, Warren Community School; and Claudette Wiley, teacher, Miller School.

Brough has been teaching special education for 34 years, with 21 years in the Day Treatment Program teaching mostly third- and fourth-graders.

Lord has been an ed tech III for the past 22 1/2 years, and also worked many years in the After School Children's Enrichment Program.
