Rep. Matlack seeks re-election

St. George — Rep. Ann Matlack, D-St. George, is seeking a second term in the Maine House.

Matlack registered Monday, Jan. 13 with the Maine Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices for the Maine House District 92 seat. The district covers Cushing, Matinicus Isle, South Thomaston, St. George, Thomaston, Criehaven Township, and Muscle Ridge Islands Township.

She serves on the Legislature's Taxation Committee.

No other candidate has filed for the seat.

Party candidates have until March 16 to file nomination papers with the Maine Secretary of State to formally be on the June 9 primary ballot. Un-enrolled candidates – also referred to as independents – have until June 1 to file nomination papers to get on the November general election ballot.

The winners of the party primaries and un-enrolled candidates will face off on the general election Nov. 3.
