Rockland — A redemption center is planned for the building that long housed a convenience store on Park Street.

Rockland Code Enforcement Officer John Root said a redemption center is planned at 191 Park St.

A Facebook page has also been created for "Wicked Redemption" at that address.

The building was erected in about 1973 and served for decades as a Pik Qwik store and later Mr. Mike's Market. That closed in May 2017.

Jason Butman of Rockland purchased the 4,600-square-foot building and 0.75-acre parcel in April from Global Montello Group of Waltham, Mass., for $128,000.

Butman was not immediately available for comment.
