CAMDEN — Marc Ratner is running for reelection to a three-year term on the Board of Selectmen, and has been approved for the June ballot.

He was elected to his first three-year term in June 2016. No one else took out or returned nomination papers for the position.

Charter Commission

Mark W. Haskell, Nancy Caudle-Johnson and Christopher K. MacLean returned papers to run for positions on the Charter Commission. The terms are for three years.

In December, voters approved at a special town meeting a comprehensive charter review and revision, in order to eliminate inconsistencies between local government and state law and practices, "and to best reflect current times and methods of conducting the citizens' business."

The current charter was adopted more than 40 years ago, and has been amended, but not comprehensively revised, since that time.

School boards

Peter Orne and Rebecca S. Flanagan returned papers to run for reelection to the School Administrative District 28 and Five Town CSD boards.
