Quarry Hill's Parkinson's Support Group Participates in MPBN Film -- Scheduled to Air Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

Members of the local Parkinson's Disease Support Group that meets monthly at Quarry Hill participated in the making of the film "Easing the Burden," a documentary showcasing the human stories behind Parkinson's disease and highlights resources available in Maine for those living with the disease and their friends, families, and helpers.

MPBN art director and producer Daniel Lambert participated in multiple support group gatherings and interviewed participants, a local author, and health and wellness providers. Also featured in the film is celebrity and Parkinson's disease advocate Michael J. Fox.

Quarry Hill is a member of the Pen Bay Healthcare family of services, which also includes Penobscot Bay Medical Center, Kno-Wal-Lin Home Care and Hospice, the Knox Center for Long Term Care, and the Mid-Coast Mental Health Center.
