Public Supper to Benefit Boy Scout Troop 200 @ RMC Saturday

By Jeff Sukeforth | Feb 26, 2013

The Boy Scouts of Troop 200 and their leaders will be on hand Saturday evening to serve up some great spaghetti at the Rockport Masonic Center.

The serving begins at 5pm and will run until 630pm. Folks will have their choice of home made meat or veggie sauce, served with garlic bread, dessert and drinks for $8.00 per person.

The Masons are helping out the Troop with this fund raiser as the Scouts need new tents to replace all the old ones due to them being ruined in storage. According to Jeff Sukeforth, Masonic Center member, "Whatever is taken in at the door up to $500.00 will be sent to the Grand Lodge of Maine Youth Charitable foundation for a matching grant towards the new tents".  "The Grand Lodge sets money aside every year to assist any lodge in the state with this sort of matching grant contribution and is there for the asking".

The Scouts and the leaders will be on hand to answer any questions anyone has about Scouting and to help in serving and clean up. FMI please call Jeff @691-2270.

The Masonic Center is located at 361 Main St., Rockport, which is just up the road from the Simonton Corner 4-way stop signs.
