Public invited to learn The Science of Extreme Candy

Jan 12, 2021
Photo by: Luis Aguila The Camden Public Library invites all candy-lovers to a Zoom program on The Science of Extreme Candy Jan. 26.

Camden — The Camden Public Library will offer an online program, The Science of Extreme Candy: A Tasty Learning Event, Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m. The interactive program on Zoom is open to adults, children, families — anyone with a sweet tooth. Email jpierce@libarycamden.org to register and to receive a link to attend.

Participants will learn the science behind some of the candies that pop, fizz, heat, cool, and cause your mouth to pucker. Best of all, everyone will be able to try a variety of candy using “tasting kits” that participants will need to pick up from the library, prior to the program on Zoom. There are 15 tasting kits available for this program (families can share the contents of one kit), and a fee of $5 to help cover kit costs.

This is the last program in the library’s month-long Jumpstart January series, aimed at inspiring people to try something new in 2021. For more details on this and other library programs, visit librarycamden.org.
