The legendary tall ship Lynx is proud to return to the bay where it was born. Built in 2001 by Rockport Marine by noted shipbuilder Taylor Allen, founding partner of Belfast's Front Street Shipyard, Lynx showcases the fine craftsmanship of Maine that has been treasured by generations. Touring both coasts of the United States as well as the Great Lakes, Lynx has become known for its sleek lines and stirring story. Come sail away this weekend and experience life as a sailor in the War of 1812. Hear the hidden history of America's shadow fleet and learn the difference between pirates and privateers.

The Lynx Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to hands-on programs that teach the history of America's struggle for independence. The Lynx preserves American heritage through maritime education and sail training.
