Thomaston — Priscilla Myers, 87, passed away peacefully early on the morning of Nov. 30, 2017. She was born in Trenton to Julia Knowlton of Camden.

Priscilla grew up in Camden and was a graduate of Camden High School class of 1949. Throughout her entire life, she kept in touch with her classmates and enjoyed taking part in her class reunion every year! One of her fondest memories was a class trip to Washington, D.C.

When she was 15, she worked at the town drugstore – at the time they were filming "Peyton Place." She loved to tell about the experience. It was exciting for her!

Priscilla worked at Sylvania in Waldoboro and Tibbetts in Camden. After retiring, she spent her winters in Bonita Springs, Fla. Priscilla loved being at the beach swimming, sunbathing and collecting many beautiful shells.

She was a member of the Ladies’ Shrine Club for 30 years. She was an avid bowler and played on various leagues. She always said it wasn’t unusual to get beaten by her 98-year-old neighbor.

Her hobbies were reading, playing poker and spending time with her grandchildren.

Priscilla was predeceased by her son, Robert Grafton, in 2009. She is survived by her husband, Philip Myers Sr.; daughters, Vicki Barrett and husband Bob, Sheryl Sutherland and husband Randy; son David Verge and wife Sandy; and stepson Philip Myers Jr. and wife Raeberta. She leaves behind five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the Knox Center for all the compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knox Center for Long Term Care, Activities Department Memorial Fund, 22 White St., Rockland, ME 04841.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland, with a service of remembrance following at 3 p.m. The Rev. Andrew Stinson will officiate.
