Warren — Brent Pratt beat out opponents David Starr and Richard Butler for the lone seat on the Warren Board of Selectmen at the polls June 11.

Pratt replaces longtime Selectman Arnold Hill, who did not seek re-election, by a vote of 171 to 99 and 65, respectively.

Julie Swindler received 66 votes as a write-in candidate for the Regional School Unit 40 Board of Directors for a three-year term, replacing one of two vacant seats.

The residents of Warren will face approving a municipal budget increase of less than 1 percent for 2019-2020 at its town meeting next week.

The proposed $1,225,054 budget shows an increase of $9,349 from last year.

Proposed expenditures in the budget equal $2,546,660, and will be offset by revenues of $1,321,606, with $1,225,054 to be raised by taxes.

Town meeting will be held Tuesday, June 18, at the Warren Community School at 7 p.m.
