Potluck supper at Historial Society, robotics talk to follow Nov. 14

South Thomaston — Ted Mahler, an active member of the Wessaweskeag Historical Society and co-founder of BEST Robotics, will present a program on the 26-year history of the Best Robotics experience for middle and high school students. Ted is a retired electrical engineer from Texas Instruments, and now a full time South Thomaston resident. He has previously shared some of his projects with students and will now continue this story.

A potluck supper will begin at 6 p.m. with the program to follow at 7 p.m. in the Society’s meeting room just behind the South Thomaston Library at the corner of Rt. 73 and Dublin Road.The public is invited to attend both the program and the potluck supper.

The Wessaweskeag Historical Society was founded three decades ago and is a nonprofit, charitable organization anchored in South Thomaston. It maintains archives and a museum contiguous to the town’s public library, and hosts monthly potluck suppers available to the public. The Society also hosts the annual Heritage Day, sponsors local historic preservation and cooperates with kindred community organizations. Higher education for local youth is supported through the Society’s scholarship program.
