Based on rising concern about COVID-19 and the announcement and recommendations made March 12 by Maine Governor Janet Mills, the decision has been made to postpone the 2020 Maine Jewish Film Festival until the fall. Initial ticket sales were strong, leading organizers to anticipate crowds in close quarters at many programs, conditions which are contrary to recommendations from multiple public health experts regarding public gatherings. Updated information about rescheduled programming will be released at a later date.
