Positive start for Windjammers with three wins in four matches

South Paris — The Camden Hills wrestling team opened the  season on the road at Oxford Hills on Saturday, Dec. 9, as Mount Blue of Farmington, Nokomis of Newport, Erskine Academy of South China and host Vikings — along with the Windjammers — were in action.

The Windjammers finished 3-1 on the day as they posted a 51-24 win over the Warriors and 54-30 victory over the Eagles, while they fell 48-28 to the Vikings. The Windjammers also beat Mount Blue, but that score and those results were unavailable.

Additionally, Windjammer junior Noah Lang notched his 100th career victory during the meet.

The individual Camden Hills results included:

106 pounds — Eric Andrews won by forfeit over Nokomis; pinned Jake Emond, EA; and pinned Jayda Stevens, OxH.

113 pounds — Devin Hutcheson pinned Calvin Peck, Nok; pinned Zackary Scribner, EA; and pinned Sabrina Cothran, OxH.

120 pounds — Joshua Saucier won by forfeit over Nokomis and Erskine Academy; and was pinned by Riley Smith, OxH.

126 pounds — Dawson Allen beat Tyler Preble, Nok; pinned Nate Farrar, EA; and lost to Riley Smith, OxH.

132 pounds — Nikita Perevalov lost to Caleb Johnson, OxH.

138 pounds — Nikita Perevalov pinned Madeline Tardif, Nok; and pinned Joseph Morse, EA. Ian Henderson beat Justin David, OxH.

145 pounds — Ian Henderson won by forfeit over Nokomis and pinned Alessandro Smith, EA. Noah Lang pinned Zachary Johnson, OxH.

152 pounds — Noah Lang pinned Hunter Bubar, Nok; and pinned William Bourque, EA. Caleb Hendrick was pinned by Cole Dunham, OxH.

160 pounds — Caleb Hendrick won by forfeit over Nokomis; and pinned Haeden Landry, EA.

182 pounds — Alex Vokey pinned Elijah Griffith, Nok; and beat Jason Paradis, OxH (injury default).

195 pounds — Kenneth Dare was pinned by Alex Glidden, Nok; won by forfeit over Erskine Academy; and was pinned by Travis May, OxH.

220 pounds — Justin Secotte was pinned by James Boyd, Nok; was pinned by Isaak Peavey, EA; and was pinned by Jeffrey Worster, OxH.

285 pounds — Benjamin MacWilliams was pinned by Nicholas Lincoln, Nok; was pinned by Jakob Peavey, EA; and pinned Jarrod Taylor, OxH.
