Rockland — A 28-year-old Warren woman was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 18, and charged with assaulting a man and destroying some property.

Ryan Sue Fowles was charged with felony domestic violence assault and criminal mischief Oct. 18 in Warren. The charge was elevated to a felony because of a prior domestic violence assault conviction in October 2008 in Knox County.

Fowles was also charged with criminal mischief for pouring a Mountain Dew over a television set and videogame console and scratching the man's vehicle with a knife.

Judge Paul Mathews set bail Friday, Oct. 20, at $2,500 cash, as recommended by the District Attorney's Office during her initial appearance in Knox County Unified Court. She was later released on bail.

According to an affidavit filed in court by the Knox County Sheriff's Office, Fowles punched and scratched the man repeatedly and used objects including a fan to strike him.
