Police probe South Thomaston house break-in

South Thomaston — The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating a residential burglary.

The break-in was reported shortly after noon on Saturday, Oct. 26 at a residence on Buttermilk Lane in South Thomaston.

Chief Deputy Patrick Polky said a door was forced open. Several items were reported missing.

No one was home at the time of the burglary and theft, the department said.

The case remains under investigation.

Deputy Chris Taylor responded to the break-in.
