Police probe break-in at phone store in Thomaston

Thomaston — Thomaston police are investigating a break-in at U.S. Cellular.

The break-in was discovered Monday, Jan. 6 at 10 a.m. when employees arrived at work.

Thomaston Police Chief Tim Hoppe said that the back door of the business had been pried open. Money was reported stolen during the burglary. The tool used to pry open the door was located near the store.

The chief said there is a suspect. The investigation continues into the break-in at the Route 1 business.
