Rockport Public Library Poets’ Corner, a group which has met twice monthly since 2012, invites the public to celebrate National Poetry Month by attending its special Zoom poetry events this April. For more information about the hour-long Thursday April 8, April 15, and April 22 events, including the Zoom links, please contact Rockport Public Library at rpl@rockport.lib.me.us. The Thursday April 29 poetry reading will be hosted by the Good Tern Coop & Natural Foods Store, and that contact information is included in the listing below.

Jim Ostheimer Tribute – the group will read poems written by and about our late friend Jim Ostheimer, who founded Poets’ Corner with George Chappell in 2012. Jim was a poet, a sailor and an USAF jet pilot.

7 p.m.


Poets' Corner poets will read poems they have written this past year. Participating poets will include Frances Vigeant, Eileen Hugo, Lois Anne, Sarah Trapani, Dana Wildes, Bill Eberle, and Paul McFarland.

April 22,

7 p.m.


Paul McFarland will read from his new book of poetry, “Father's Shoes.” Paul is a Camden native who has lived in Lincolnville for over 40 years, and he has been writing rhymed and metered poetry most of his life.

National Poetry Month Reading hosted by The Good Tern Coop & Natural Foods Store.
