We will kick off the weekend on Friday with a JOHN MOCK CONCERT, beginning immediately after a Special Wine & Cheese Reception at 6:00 pm.  John Mock is an artist and the sea and its coasts are his muse.  From New England to Chincoteague to Ireland, the Atlantic’s beautiful coastline and quaint villages, wooden boats and whitewashed lighthouses, continue to inspire and inform John’s art.  He captures in music and photographs the heritage of the sea.  Tickets for the concert are Only $12.  You may order your tickets at the museum or by calling us at 207 594-3301 and charging them to your VISA, Discover or MasterCard.

On Saturday, we will be hosting a Great Book Signing and a Giant Craft Fair to Benefit the Museum.  The combined event will take place at the museum from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.  The Giant Craft Fair will include the Maine Lights Collection, Mary Carver, Linda Graham, Linda Sherlock, Debra Thuss, Jeff Spera, Russells of Camden, Faith Deane, Mainely Naturals, Seaside Soap & Candle, T Harbor Treasures and Kitty Smith Designs all demonstrating and offering their beautiful and unique craft items for sale.

The Great Book Signing will include Angeli Perrow, author of “Many Hands, a Penobscot Indian Story”, “Celtic Thunder’, “Lighthouse Dog to the Rescue” and others, Steven D. Powell, author of “Patch Scratching”, Sara Hoagland Hunter, author of “The Lighthouse Santa” with her Illustrator Julia Miner, John R. Cobb, author of “Judith A Quoddy Tale”, John Bird, author of “Rockland, Maine’s Tidal Turn”, Dorothy Simpson, author of “The Island’s True Child”, and Susan Raven, author of “There Was a Little Girl”.

Also on Saturday, we will have a Wine & Cheese Reception at 6:00 pm just prior to our Huge Live Auction which will start at 7:00.  We will also have a Silent Auction at the same time.  There will be lots of nautical and maritime themed items for your bidding pleasure.  If you have any items you would like to donate for the auctions you may call Museum Director Dot Black at 207 975-9690.  All donations will be gratefully accepted!

We will start the day on Sunday with a Delicious Buffet supplied by Bricks Restaurant in Rockland at 12:00 Noon at the museum.  Immediately after the buffet we will be having an Exciting PowerPoint Presentation by the “Friends of Flying Santa’.  Lighthouse Keeper’s Daughter, Marla Rogers, whose father was a keeper at many Massachusetts and Maine lights will also be on hand to share her experiences growing up at lighthouses.  The cost of the Delicious Buffet and Flying Santa Presentation is just $25 per person.  You may order your tickets at the museum or call us at 207 594-3301 to charge them to your VISA, Discover or MasterCard.  If you prefer, you may send a check or money order to:  Maine Lighthouse Museum, One Park Drive, P.O.
