Pizza night funds student trip to Australia

Nov 01, 2019
Camden Hills Regional High School students will visit Northeastern Australia in 2020.

Rockport — The public is invited to a fundraiser at Flatbread Pizza in Rockport, Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. to benefit 20 students from Camden Hills Regional High School, who will participate in an exchange with Northeastern Australia, in the summer and fall of 2020.  A portion of all pizza sales will be donated to the exchange. The evening will also include raffle baskets, the sale of Pura Vida bracelets, and a 50/50 raffle.

With a focus on science, technology, engineering and math - or STEM - the exchange will include a visit to the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest National Park and other significant sites before students arrive in Townsville, located in the state of Queensland, where they will stay with local families while attending Pimlico State High School. Students from Townsville will visit Camden in the fall and will participate in home-stays and school activities as well as a variety of STEM-related field trips.
