Pick up Socks at Thomaston shelter

Dec 21, 2012

Our pet pick of the week is Socks a mild-mannered, short-haired tuxedo cat. There is a lot to love about this big lug and a lot of him to love. This pleasingly plump senior boy could stand to lose a few pounds. Perhaps he could be part of your New Year's resolutions; saving a life and dropping a few pounds. Socks is fine with other cats and will make a great companion. Socks is a featured pet in our 12 Strays of Christmas promotion and his adoption fee is only $12. To learn more visit our website at hskcme.org.

Thank you to animal lover and young philanthropist Jade Haber who celebrated her 6th birthday by collecting much needed donations for the animals at the shelter. She came in with bundles of dog and cat toys, kitty litter, food, and supplies. What a wonderful and generous thing for her do to. We think that is fabulous.

Do you are someone you know need to get your pet fixed? There is still room on the transport from HSKC to the Community Spay Neuter Clinic in Freeport on Tuesday, Jan. 22. For more information or to reserve a spot call 594-2200.
