Pepper Hill Equestrian Facility Welcomes Elaine Apple

We are excited to welcome Elaine Apple as the new Pepper Hill manager / trainer.
Elaine has been riding and training in the hunter/jumper discipline for three decades. While living in Indianapolis, she worked and trained with such well-respected trainers as George Morris, Karen Healey, Wendy Newby, Tammy Provost, Diane Carney, Wilhelm Genn, Angela Hecker Jackson and Diana Renihan. Elaine has ridden and trained a wide variety of horses at all levels and stages of their careers. Her specialty is correct classic training for horse and rider. She has competed and won in numerous shows, at all levels from short stirrup, pony hunter, junior and adult equitation, green and regular working hunter, junior and Grand Prix level jumpers. Some notable venues where Elaine has competed include the Kentucky Horse Park, the Vermont Summer Festival, Trader’s Point Hunt Charity Horse Show, National Pony Medal Finals, AHSA Junior Medal Finals, Upperville Classic Horse Show, IHJA Medal Finals (Indiana), Downeast Medal Finals (Maine), and many others. Elaine has studied psychology and behavioral health, and has earned her MHRT/C, OQMHP and CADC. She understands the therapeutic value of the connection between horse and rider, especially for those with mental illness, trauma, behavioral problems. She is excited to join our team.
