Penobscot Bay Ringers raise funds for local causes

Camden — The Penobscot Bay Ringers’ spring schedule staged fundraising concerts for two local entities. On May 13, the group performed an hour-long concert at Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Camden and brought in $1,156 in audience donations for the church’s Save Our Steeple fund. On June 17, the ringers performed at Nativity Lutheran Church in Rockport, this time accepting donations totaling $851 for the Knox County Homeless Coalition’s Hospitality House.

Penobscot Bay Ringers is Midcoast Maine’s community handbell choir, founded in 2008. The group plays on five octaves of Malmark handbells and five octaves of Choirchimes. For more information about Penobscot Bay Ringers, visit penobscotbayringers.me or email penobscotbayringers@gmail.com.
