Penny S. Eddy

Tucson, Ariz. — Penny (Sibley) Eddy, 69, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, after a prolonged illness. Her loved ones were by her side. She grew up in Winchester, Mass., and spent summers at the family home in Port Clyde.

She moved to Maine permanently when she married her husband of 44 years, Michael Eddy. They lived in Port Clyde and Appleton before moving to Tucson four years ago. As well as raising her sons, Penny was employed at several local businesses and operated a travel agency in Rockland for a number of years. In retirement, she began writing children's books.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Mike; her sons, Nicolas Eddy of Tucson, Ariz., Christopher Eddy of Cushing; two grandsons, Reece and Finn Eddy of Cushing; her sisters, Pamela Thompson of Kennebunkport and Jennifer Boyle of Worcester, Mass.; and her brother, Jonathan Sibley, of St. Paul, Minn.

A short service with a gathering of family and friends afterwards will be held at a later date.
