Tom Peaco has taken out papers to run for reelection to the RSU 13 school board.

Rockland — Thomas Peaco has taken out nomination papers to remain on the Regional School Unit 13 Board.

Peaco took out papers Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 12.

He was elected in 2016 and is completing a two-year term. He is executive director of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce.

He is seeking one of two open three-year seats in Rockland. There is also a one-year seat up for election Nov. 6.

The only other candidate is Doug Curtis Jr., who has filed papers and has qualified for the ballot for one of the three-year seats.

The seats are held by Peaco, Nancy Jeffers and Vera Roberts.

Jeffers said she would not seek reelection. Roberts has not responded to an email on whether she would seek election.
