PAWS: Stop in and lose your heart

Dec 11, 2012

Thank you to everyone who attended our Auction for Animals on Nov 29. If you missed this splendid event, go to our website at and bid on a few select items that were left over.

The stockings are hung up all over the shelter, and the cats and dogs are hoping that Santa’s helpers will stuff them full of toys and treats. Stop by the shelter and help fill them up to give our wonderful fur people a very Merry Christmas!

Primo is a gorgeous 7-year-old male cat who would give anything to be in a home. He loves to curl up in a cozy nook or take a cat nap on a soft blanket. He doesn’t really like a lot of action, so he would be a great addition to a quiet home.

Skwiggles, a 1-year-old pit, is a complete sweetheart. She loves everyone she meets and she likes other dogs. She is definitely not the couch potato type, so if you like to take walks or if you are a runner, she would be a loving and eager companion.

The dog park is open! Stop by to take a look and give your dog a run around the park. You’ll be back!

Wish list items: non-clumping cat litter, bleach, garbage bags, window cleaner and laundry detergent. You can drop off items during our business hours or leave them in the foyer.

And don’t forget the Holiday Pet Packages at Hannaford in Camden. It’s so easy to drop one in your shopping cart, and they make a terrific difference to us at the shelter.

Please remember that love is the motif of this holiday season, so stop in to see us and lose your heart to one of our wonderful residents at 146 Camden St. in Rockport. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is never closed! Be sure to check us out on Facebook. And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
