PAWS: Auction for the Animals Nov. 29

Nov 13, 2012

It’s never too early to think about shopping for Christmas, and we have a great event to help you get started. Join us Thursday, Nov. 29, at High Mountain Hall in Camden for the PAWS Auction for the Animals. A silent auction begins at 6 p.m. and the live auction at 7:30 p.m. There will be great items to bid on a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. This will be a terrific event and a fun way to show your support for all the wonderful animals here.

Beautiful Rye needs your help. This sweet girl wants desperately to be an indoor/outdoor cat, to feel the grass beneath her paws and the wind ruffling her fur. She needs to be able to come in after a long day’s hunt and curl up in a comfy couch. She would be much happier if she could travel about and explore.

Sawyer is a handsome male cat who is looking for a home. This sweet guy is very laid back and would like to find a family of his own and have a lap to sit on.

Playful, spunky and sweet is what Sally is all about. This young feline would love to run around a house chasing all those fun cat toys that her new owner will buy for her. Since she loves all the attention one person can give her, she would love it if she was the only cat in her house.

Looking for something to do on a Sunday afternoon? Why not come to the shelter and play with some kittens? The animals here always enjoy human interaction, and what little kitten doesn’t like to be picked up and loved? Some of the older cats go crazy when the laser light toy comes out and what cat doesn’t like a little cat nip? We can’t tell you how much fun the dogs would have if they had someone to play with or take them for a walk. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, so stop by when you have a chance and get to know the very special cats and dogs that are here waiting for their “fur-ever” home.

We are in need of the following items: non-clumping cat litter, canned dog and cat food, dry cat food, Purina kitten chow, dog and cat toys, bleach, laundry detergent, dish soap. Any donation that we receive is greatly appreciated.

Before the year is out, please stop in and see us and all our darlings at 146 Camden St. in Rockport. We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, our phone number is 236-8702 and is never closed! And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
