Waldoboro — While the blustery, chilly conditions presented a midseason feel on the pitch, it was indeed the first games of the regular season — on the first day of September — for the Medomak Valley soccer teams, who hosted Morse in a doubleheader.

Each school came away with a victory on the afternoon, as the Panther boys prowled to a 3-0 win and the Shipbuilders girls netted a 2-1 victory on Friday.
