Panther cheer squad shows off 2021 hardware

Waldoboro — The Medomak Valley High School cheer squad recently held its medal ceremony and plaque presentation for a successful 2021 campaign which saw the Panthers win the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B crown and finish second at the state Class B championship meet, which were virtual events due to the pandemic.

Team members, pictured above, include, front from left, Emily Mahoney, Hope Mason, Lizzi Swan, Braelyn Hood, Chloe Achorn, Skylah Ward, Acadia Dinsmore, Alyssa Grindle and Aaliyah Thompson; and back, Greg Cifaldo, Katrina McIntosh, coach Heather Simmons and Sami Richardson.
