Painting and more at Medomak Arts

Waldoboro — Artist Libbie Winslow will lead another paint night Thursday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Medomak Arts, 13 Friendship St./Route 220 in the village. Winslow will guide an acrylic painting session of a seasonal scene of radiant sunflowers; participants will go home with an original painting to frame or give as a gift.

All supplies are included with a $20 donation to Medomak Arts. Drinks and refreshments will be available. For more information, call 832-4774 or visit medomakarts.org.

Continuing at the downtown nonprofit is Lisa Goode’s jewelry-making workshop Wednesdays through September from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. All ages and levels of experience are welcome for one of more sessions. All materials are included with a $15 donation to Medomak Arts; drop in or call ahead to register.

The art of calendula salve making will be explored in a workshop Saturday, Sept. 23, beginning 1 p.m. Marcia Kimpton will lead participants in making a healing salve with calendula flowers for themselves, their families and gift giving. A donation of $5 includes all materials and two tins of salve; additional containers are $2 each. For more information, contact Kimpton at 832-6342.
