The Owls Head Village Library will be open Wednesday evenings from 4 – 7 PM as well as on Saturdays 10 AM – 2 PM.   The library has seen a four- fold increase in usage since re-opening on July 18th.    So many people visiting over a four -hour time period became challenging due to a limit on inside patrons due to Covid, and some patrons were waiting outside for entry.  Staffing the library on Wednesdays will be new volunteers Pat Martin and Kirsten Choate, as well as occasional library directors.

In other fall news, we have a new 23 DVD Collection of all Maine Movies - – all either written by a Mainer, about Maine or filmed/set in Maine, many in the Midcoast.   Much thanks to collector and donor Michael Mullins.  New book donations have exceeded 400 volumes and feature many current or recent bestsellers.

A survey is available at Town Office for anyone wishing to provide their input to the Library Association members, and a few exterior and interior physical improvements are being made the coming weeks.

Beginning September 25, patrons will be able to telephone the library at (207) 593-0302.     The Association thanks the community for their patronage, involvement and interest.
