Rockland — The weekly Monday night blues series continues Feb. 25, with Bees Deluxe playing a 7 to 10 p.m. show in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $10 at the door, which opens at 6 p.m.

The Boston-based Bees Deluxe is just not your average blues band. The quartet calls their music “acid blues” and that works, but the guitar-driven Bees blend the blues with rock, R&B, soul, British Invasion and jazz.

With a repertoire of danceable originals and innovative takes on tunes by artists ranging from Albert King to ZZ Top, Amy Winehouse to Joe Zawinul, the band features blazing guitar work that is guaranteed to heat up the dance floor.

The weekly Monday series continues March 4 with a band TBA; and March 11, the Chris Fitz Band ($10). Shows are subject to change.
